Qualcomm and Aramco Digital Unite to Launch Advanced AI-Based IIoT Solutions in Saudi Arabia

Qualcomm Technologies and Aramco Digital Company have announced a strategic agreement to develop, deploy, and commercialize cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions, driving the digital transformation of key industrial sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The collaboration, unveiled during the Saudi-US Investment Forum in Riyadh, signals a joint commitment to delivering innovative industrial AI devices and services tailored to meet the growing demands of Saudi Arabia’s fast-evolving digital ecosystem. This strategic move is aligned with the national goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.

As part of the collaboration, Aramco Digital will spearhead the development and commercialization of a suite of advanced AI-powered industrial devices and end-to-end IIoT solutions utilizing Qualcomm Technologies' cutting-edge platforms. These solutions are expected to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, safety, and sustainability across various sectors, offering functionalities like:

Predictive maintenance
Worker assistance
Anomaly detection
Smart asset management
Drone and robotics integration

A key highlight of the initiative is the integration of Qualcomm’s technologies with Aramco’s 450MHz 5G digital industrial network, which will power a wide range of connected smart endpoints—including smartphones, industrial-grade devices, cameras, sensors, drones, and robots. Additionally, both companies will collaborate on creating capabilities to deploy, manage, and update AI models across Aramco’s digital infrastructure.
