Dubai Air Navigation Services (dans) has announced the signing of a new leasing agreement with the Dubai Aviation City Corporation (DACC). As per this agreement, dans will establish its first training facility within Al Maktoum International Airport.

Dubai Aviation City Corporation (DACC) owns both Dubai International Airport (DXB), one of the busiest airports in the world and Al Maktoum International Airport while dans is the air navigation service provider that offers air navigation services for airport authorities and many prestigious airlines.

This agreement was signed by H.E Mohammed A. Ahli, Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCCA) and Executive Chairman of DACC, H.E Khalifa Al Zaffin and CEO of dans.
The facility essentially focuses on forming a global training hub from within the Emirate of Dubai having the capability to train those individuals that are experienced in ATM sector and want to further enhance and gain more knowledge developing their operational skills as well as individuals those who are beginning their career in ATM.

Once the dans training facility is fully established, it will offer a wide-variety of training courses that will address all operational, technical and theoretical subject matters in the area of Air Traffic Management (ATM).

The training courses offered at the new dans Training Academy are inclusive of operational courses in ATM sector ranging from rating & qualification training towards validation, foundation training, first competency assessments, subsequent training and competency assessments to professional aviation development courses, additional endorsements & qualifications, emergency continuation training, refresher/remedial and supplementary ATM trainings.

H.E Khalifa Al Zaffin states that this project embraces the vision of H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum who once said, We are not building the largest airports in the world, we are building the aviation capital of the world. The establishment of a world-class aviation training academy being locally developed creates a legacy for the national economy.
