Nakheel named as Leading Partner for the Government Summit

The second Government Summit under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced Nakheel as its Leading Partner as part of the Summit’s continuous efforts to attract outstanding partnerships at the national and international levels. This year, the Summit will be held from 10 to 12 February 2014 in Dubai under the theme “Leading Government Services”.

The partnership between the Government Summit and Nakheel underlines the importance of the Summit as a national project that integrates the contributions of the public and private sectors in supporting the government of the future that will provide exceptional services, exceeding customer expectations, in line with the UAE Vision 2021.

“Nakheel is honoured to support the UAE Government Summit 2014, which will unite the public and private sectors to explore how creativity and innovation can be used to deliver new concepts in customer service and experience in accordance with the UAE Vision 2021,” said Nakheel Chairman Ali Rashid Lootah.

“As a leading developer, we are proud to complement and contribute to this vision with a range of creative and innovative design and engineering development projects to put Dubai firmly on the global map. Our iconic projects, including Palm Jumeirah and The World, have already helped establish Dubai as one of the most sought-after places to live, visit and invest,” added Lootah.

The Summit in its second edition has established partnerships with a number of international organizations and institutions such as the United Nations and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and at the national level with the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government as a Knowledge Partner. Following the overwhelming success of the Government Summit in its first edition, the UAE University is also coming on board as another major Knowledge Partner while the World Economic Forum will be a Strategic Partner.
Aiming to take advantage of the experiences of the private sector, the Government Summit has succeeded in attracting partnerships with a number of national institutions and leading companies in the UAE private sector, including Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank.

The Summit will be attended by over 3500 delegates and over 60 regional and international speakers and intellectuals. It will witness the launch of a series of international reports on the development of government services, and propose many worksheets and constructive discussions that will contribute to the expansion and dissemination of knowledge and model government sector development in the region.
