Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs Honours Partners in Political Development

Dubai, 31 March 2019: The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MFNCA) has organized a ceremony at the Grand Hyatt Dubai Hotel to honour its partners in political development and recognize their contributions to the Ministrys objectives to enhance coordination between the FNC and the UAE Government and promote political participation.

The MFNCAs Undersecretary His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah attended the ceremony, along with H.E. Ahmed Shabib Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Federal National Council (FNC); H.E. Abdullah Mohammed Al Ashram, Acting CEO of Emirates Post Group; H.E. Ali Ghanem Al Romaithi, Executive Director of Business Support at the Abu Dhabi Crown Princes Court; Dr Saeed Mohammed Al Ghafli, MFNCAs Assistant Undersecretary for Federal National Council Affairs; H.E. Brigadier Omar Mohamed Al Khayyal, Director of the Police Officers Training Institute at the Ministry of Interior; and H.E. Brigadier General Mohammed Butti Thani Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of the Dubai Police Academy; in addition to representatives from the entities that were honoured at the ceremony, which include federal and local government agencies, academic institutions, and private organisations across the UAE.

During the ceremony, the Ministry showcased its events, activities, and achievements over the past year, which sought to promote political participation in the community, and strengthen collaboration between the legislative and executive branches of government, in line with the Political Empowerment Programme launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The Programmes main objective is to embrace the Shura approach and empower the FNC to play its part in serving the country and its citizens.

The ceremony concluded with H.E. Tariq Lootah honouring the Ministrys partners, including the Ministry of Presidential Affairs; Abu Dhabi Crown Princes Court; General Secretariat of the Federal National Council; Ministry of Finance; Federal Authority for Government Human Resources; Federal Youth Foundation; Dubai Police General Command; Telecommunications Regulation Authority; Emirates Transport; General Womens Union; Emirates Post Group; Police Officers Training Institute at the Ministry of Interior; United Arab Emirates University; Higher Colleges of Technology; and the Emirates Telecommunications Corporation.
