Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs Showcases Smart Digital Platforms at GITEX Global 2024

The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MFNCA) is presenting its latest smart digital platforms and systems at GITEX Global 2024, running until October 18 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The ministry is showcasing several key digital initiatives, including the ‘Smart Communication Platform,’ ‘Innovation Platform,’ ‘Digital Service Platform,’ and advanced voting systems like ‘Remote Voting’ and ‘Electronic Voting.’

This participation aligns with the MFNCA’s commitment to supporting the UAE’s digital transformation strategy and fostering a culture of innovation across government services.

Digital Transformation to Boost National Development

His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the MFNCA, emphasized the ministry's dedication to enhancing the UAE’s leadership in digital transformation: “Our participation in GITEX Global 2024 underscores our commitment to driving the country’s development and prosperity through digital transformation initiatives, while also promoting political awareness and increasing participation in Federal National Council elections.”

Lootah added that these digital solutions strengthen the UAE’s parliamentary system by raising participation levels in elections and enhancing the transparency and security of voting processes.

Key Platforms on Display

The MFNCA is showcasing a range of integrated digital platforms designed to enhance efficiency and innovation within the ministry:

• Smart Communication Platform: This digital archive contains all media materials, including images, press releases, and publications related to the ministry’s events. It allows employees to easily access and share files with internal and external stakeholders.

• Innovation Platform: Designed to foster a culture of innovation, this platform accepts suggestions and creative ideas from employees to improve the working environment and operational processes.

• Digital Services Platform: An internal platform offering smart electronic services for employees, improving accessibility and operational efficiency across all internal services.

Innovative Voting Systems

The MFNCA is also highlighting its cutting-edge voting technologies for the Federal National Council elections:

• Remote Voting: This system allows citizens to vote remotely, from anywhere in the world, through digital applications approved by the National Election Committee.

• Electronic Voting: A secure system that enables in-person voting at polling stations across the UAE, adhering to cybersecurity standards to ensure the integrity and transparency of the election process.

The Ministry plays a crucial role in coordinating efforts between the UAE government and the Federal National Council, overseeing media affairs related to parliamentary activities, and managing all aspects of the National Elections Committee.
