Joseph Ghossoub awarded for Outstanding Contribution in 2014

Joseph Ghossoub, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MENA Communications Group (MENACOM), has been honoured with the 2014 Outstanding Contribution Award at the Arabian Business Achievement Awards for his exceptional service to the regions communications industry.

Ghossoub was recognised alongside 14 other leading businessmen and women including Etihad Airways CEO, James Hogan; Director General of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Hamad Buamim; and Badr Jafar, managing director and CEO of Crescent Enterprises.

It is an honour to be recognised for such a prestigious award. I am extremely proud of MENACOM and its consistent growth over the last two decades. Its success is testament to the hard work of everyone in the company and the leadership of UAE, which has enabled us to flourish, said Joseph Ghossoub.

Ghossoub founded The Holding Group (now MENACOM Group) in 1996. Under his leadership, MENACOM has evolved as the Middle East and North Africa regions leading communications conglomerate, with over 900 employees in its network of 37 offices, providing marketing communications services in 12 countries throughout the Arabian Gulf, the Levant and North Africa.

MENACOM is the parent company of advertising agencies Young & Rubicam, Intermarkets and Partnership; media firm MEC; public relations consultancy ASDAA Burson-Marsteller; direct marketing specialists Wunderman; and interactive firm Tattoo.

The awards, hosted by the regions largest publisher ITP, were held at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai on November 10. The annual event honours the very best of Middle East business achievement, both on a corporate and individual level. Previous winners have included King Abdullah of Jordan and HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.
