Instagram is launching a new feature for less data consumption

Instagram is launching a new feature designed to assist you in enjoying the content on Instagram by reducing the data consumption on your phone. With this opt-in mode for Android users only, you can view your favorite content with reduced image loading time by minimizing the amount of data that Instagram uses on your mobile phone.

This feature is really simple to use. All you have to do is go to Settings then Account and then Cellular Data Use and just turn this setting on after which you can enjoy the content on Instagram without any worries as it will prevent the loading of videos and high-resolution images in advance.

After the settings being enabled, youll be able to choose among three options for how Instagram will show you high-resolution media including Never, Wi-Fi Only and Cellular + Wi-Fi.

With people having different data usage plans, this feature will give Instagram lovers an uninterrupted browsing experience in slow network areas and provide the ability to connect with people and interests that they love on Instagram. This feature will be globally available on Android in the coming days.
