From Jan 5 to 17, Hino Motors, Ltd. (From now on "Hino." HQ: Hino, Tokyo. President and CEO: Yoshio Shimo) will race as HINO TEAM SUGAWARA (director: Teruhito Sugawara) in Dakar Rally 2020, the primary occasion since its migration to Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Yoshimasa Sugawara, who has coordinated the group for approximately 30 years, has resigned from the Dakar Rally toward the finish of the past occasion. Mr. Teruhito Sugawara, who succeeds him as the group's new director, will drive an updated and matured Car 1 (in view of the Hino 500 series), and Mr. Ikuo Hanawa, who was brought in to succeed Mr. Yoshimasa as driver, will drive the group's new Car 2 (based on a truck grew explicitly for the North American market) that highlights a cap type taxi and automatic transmission.
