Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum extends her patronage to 3rd edition of Dubai Art Season
The 3rd edition of Dubai Art Season, the city-wide display of culture & arts, will be held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate's dedicated entity for heritage, culture & arts, throughout March and April.
Dubai Art Season is the definitive effort that aims to highlight the city's global credentials in the arts scene, and unites artists from around the globe for an unequaled celebration of skill, creativity, innovation and cultural diversity.
Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, stated: "Over its past two editions, Dubai Art Season has progressed as a city-wide celebration of arts. The calendar of varied activities specifies the cultural identity of Dubai through its unrivaled display of occasions that influence and engage the neighborhood. Her Highness Sheikha Latifa added: "Dubai Art Season will remain to be a central pillar in our strategy to supporting the Dubai Plan 2021 announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, with the objective of developing Dubai as a 'City of Happy, Creative and Empowered People.'".
The third Dubai Art Season will be headlined by the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature that matches the '2016 - Year of Reading' marked by the UAE, and cultural activities at The Dubai Mall. Under this year's theme of 'Food Meets Art' and as part of the Dubai Food Festival, Dubai Culture will be supplying workshops for kids where they can be influenced, experiment with the numerous active ingredients and creative when producing their very own masterpieces.
This will be followed by the SIKKA Art Fair, the Middle East's first-of-its-kind completely commissioned visual arts and carrying out arts program that will include GCC-based artists for the very first time this year.
