H.E. Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, met with H.E. Ali Abdulla Juma Alhaj Al Ali, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of the UAE to UNESCO, at UNESCO headquarters in Paris to discuss strengthening cooperation between the two sides.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the International Jury meeting for the UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development.

During the discussions, both parties explored ways to enhance collaboration between the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation and the UAE Permanent Delegation to UNESCO in support of joint programmes and projects implemented in partnership with UNESCO.

The meeting also reviewed the latest developments related to the UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development, including preparations for the award ceremony honouring the winners of the prize’s ninth cycle.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place on 5 October at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

The discussions reaffirmed the commitment of both parties to advancing educational initiatives and strengthening international cooperation aimed at supporting teacher development and promoting excellence in education globally.
