Four Seasons Hotel Madrid Welcomes Adrian Messerli as Regional Vice President and General Manager Ahead of September Opening.

Fifteen-year Four Seasons veteran Adrian Messerli has been named Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Madrid, set to open on September 25, 2020. The companys first hotel in Spain opens after a seven-year renovation of seven historic buildings in the heart of the capital, debuting a new open-air rooftop restaurant by renowned Spanish Chef Dani Garcia, as well a magnificent four-level spa resort.

Adrian Messerli is an excellent hotelier with a solid experience in both food and liquor, and spa and wellness - the ideal person to manage the team as we start our doors in Madrid this month, says Simon Casson, President, Hotel Operations - Europe, Middle East and Africa. This design has been years in the making, and its been worth the wait as we soon reveal one of the most charming hotels in our collection of celebrated European hotels.

Swiss-born and educated, the multi-lingual Messerli has a Bachelors Degree in International Hospitality Management from Ecole Hotelire de Lausanne following his training as a chef, and its no wonder that hes especially excited to work with Dani Garcia and his team at Dani, as well as the Hotels additional outlets Isa and El Patio.

Having been hired by Four Seasons in 2005, hes toured the world, expanding his duties in assignments from the United States to the Caribbean and South America, Europe, the Middle East and the Indian Ocean, where he received his first General Manager position at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles before moving to Shanghai, China. He is now retiring to Europe to start the companys first property in Spain.

I knew from the time I began working at Four Seasons in Chicago that our organisation is more than just giving a job; it's providing a sense of belonging, where one can subscribe to an already strongly built foundation, says Messerli. I am especially thrilled to bring our brand into Spain, hoping that this will be the first of many.
