Why does Dubai want more than half of its students to use school transport instead of private cars?

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority says increasing school bus and shared transport usage to 60 per cent over the next three years is key to easing congestion around schools, cutting commute times by up to 20 per cent, and reducing costs for parents, with new bus pooling services offering fares 10–15 per cent lower and capped travel times of 60 minutes for students aged 14 and above — but do you think shared school transport will truly change daily traffic patterns, and would you consider enrolling your child in such a service?
