How fast is progress on the Dubai Metro Blue Line, and what will it offer once completed?

The Dubai Metro Blue Line has achieved an impressive 10% completion in just five months since its launch in June 2025, according to the RTA. With over 500 engineers and 3,000 workers spread across 12 active sites, the project is on track to hit 30% completion by the end of 2026. Spanning 30 km with 14 stations, the Blue Line will connect the Red and Green Lines, linking key areas such as Dubai Creek Harbour, International City, Silicon Oasis, and Academic City. Once completed by September 2029, it will serve one million residents by 2040, offering 20-minute direct trips to Dubai International Airport and supporting the city’s “20-minute city” vision. What do you think — will the new Blue Line transform how people commute across Dubai?
