How did UAE residents mark this year’s Flag Day?

At exactly 11am, the UAE came together in a moment of unity as flags were raised across schools, government buildings, homes, and public beaches, accompanied by the national anthem echoing across the nation. Introduced in 2013 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Flag Day celebrates national pride and the legacy of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, symbolising loyalty, belonging, and gratitude. Across the emirates, from quiet neighbourhoods to Dubai’s stunning Flag Garden near the Burj Al Arab, thousands of flags formed breathtaking portraits of UAE’s founding leaders. The display will continue until January 10, inviting residents and visitors to share in the spirit of unity. How did you celebrate UAE Flag Day this year?
