How did the UAE’s first olive-based coffee come to life — and who brewed it?

Emirati mother-daughter duo Nadia Al Mansouri and Huda Abdulaziz are behind the UAE’s first-ever olive-based coffee, a healthy twist on Arabic and Turkish blends that’s winning over wellness lovers. What began as a pop-up concept at community events has turned into a fast-growing favourite among those seeking natural, heritage-inspired flavours. Developed in partnership with Dr Waleed Al Azraq of Turkey’s First Pasha Coffee, the drink blends the antioxidant-rich olive — a symbol of blessing — with traditional coffee to create a beverage that’s both authentic and health-conscious. Huda’s mother, once unable to drink regular coffee, now enjoys this unique brew without discomfort — a discovery that inspired them to bring it to the UAE. The product, now known as History Coffee, has become a hit at major events like ADIHEX, offering flavours from libaan (frankincense) to karak-style blends. What do you think — would you try a cup of olive coffee over your regular brew?
