Empower, the worlds largest district cooling services provider, received the US Consul General, His Excellency Robert Waller accompanied by Mr. Nasir Abbasi, Commercial Attach at US Consulate in Dubai, in a move to further boost bilateral trade relations.
Both parties discussed the need for boosting cooperation and exchanging expertise within the the district cooling sectors between the United States of America and the United Arab Emirates. In addition to promoting bilateral relations, the meeting also discussed future prospects to exchange best practice in research and development within the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning industry.
The high-level meeting between Empower and US Consular team, headed by the Consul General, was a stimulating gathering on current and future trade ties between the US and the UAE, said H.E. Ahmad Bin Shafar, Chief Executive Officer, Empower. As countries with ambitious development plans, the US and the UAE have the potential to be strong partners in initiatives that enable sustainability and energy efficiency in business.

Empower is set to host the International District Energy Associations (IDEA) 2014 International District Cooling conference in Dubai from December 12- 16, 2014. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, the 6th District Cooling Conference will be held under the theme of Cleaner Energy, Greener Cities.
