The Emirati Human Resources Development Council (EHRDC) in Dubai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nissan Middle East to support the training, qualification and employment of UAE nationals, strengthening Emirati participation in the private sector.
The partnership aims to connect Emirati talent with evolving labour-market requirements while supporting the UAE’s wider Emiratisation objectives. The agreement expands EHRDC’s partnerships with private-sector companies, including businesses operating in free zones.
EHRDC and Nissan Sign MoU
The agreement was signed by H.E. Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Deputy Chairman of EHRDC, and Thierry Sabbagh, Divisional Vice President and President – Middle East, KSA, India and CIS, Nissan & INFINITI.
Under the partnership, EHRDC and Nissan Middle East will cooperate on the recruitment of UAE nationals and the delivery of specialised training programmes in available and in-demand areas within the company.
Nissan will contribute its professional expertise and qualified personnel to facilitate the transfer of specialised knowledge and skills to Emirati employees.
Focus on Skills, Training and Career Development
The partnership goes beyond recruitment by placing emphasis on preparing Emirati professionals for long-term careers in the private sector.
Training will be aligned with actual business requirements, with the objective of improving professional readiness and helping UAE nationals integrate successfully into the workplace.

Al Falasi Highlights ‘Qualitative Emiratisation’
H.E. Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi said the partnership represents an important step in expanding opportunities for UAE nationals across competitive and diverse work environments.
He emphasised that “qualitative Emiratisation” should extend beyond simply creating jobs and instead focus on investing in the capabilities, knowledge and expertise of Emirati professionals.
According to Al Falasi, aligning training with business needs and monitoring professional development can help strengthen job stability while increasing the participation of UAE nationals in the private sector.
Nissan to Support Emirati Talent Development
Thierry Sabbagh said Nissan was proud to collaborate with EHRDC and contribute to developing Emirati talent.
