Dubai South inaugurates state-of-the-art RH Aero facility as part of global expansion strategy
The Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South has officially inaugurated a new state-of-the-art service facility for RH Aero Systems (RH Aero), marking a significant step in the company’s global expansion strategy.
The newly launched facility will serve as RH Aero’s regional hub for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Engine/Airframe Tooling services across the Middle East, Africa, and India, strengthening its international service network.
Facility designed for growth and regional expansion
The RH Aero Service Center spans approximately 2,800 square metres, divided into four adjacent bays of 700 square metres each. The layout has been structured to support future growth, capability expansion, and long-term operational scalability in the region.
Senior leadership from both organizations attended the inauguration ceremony, including Tahnoon Saif, Chief Executive Officer of MBRAH, and Martin Dürr, Executive Vice President, EMEAI Region at RH Aero.
Comprehensive aviation support capabilities
The new centre will deliver a broad range of aviation maintenance and support services, including:
-
Inspection, testing, calibration, and recertification
-
Maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of tooling and GSE
-
Proof-load testing, modifications, and upgrade programs
-
Local technical support and on-site service
-
Aircraft on Ground (AOG) assistance
These capabilities are expected to enhance RH Aero’s ability to provide OEM-licensed tooling support and end-to-end aviation service solutions to airlines, MRO providers, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across the region.
Strengthening Dubai’s aviation ecosystem
Tahnoon Saif said the inauguration represents another milestone in reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global aviation hub. He noted that the expansion of internationally recognized aviation players reflects strong confidence in MBRAH’s integrated aerospace ecosystem and aligns with Dubai’s broader vision to advance the engineering and aerospace sectors.
Martin Dürr described the facility as a strategic investment that will improve turnaround times, ensure OEM-aligned service delivery, and enhance proximity to customers across key regional markets.
RH Aero operates globally through its businesses, including Rhinestahl and HYDRO, delivering custom-designed GSE, engine and airframe tooling, and engineered aviation solutions through a network of 26 service centres worldwide.
MBRAH, a free-zone destination within Dubai South, offers high-level connectivity and hosts leading airlines, private aviation companies, MRO operators, and aerospace training institutions. The hub continues to position Dubai as a central node in the global aviation value chain.
