Dubai Centre for Family Businesses Launches E-library with Nearly 2,000 Resources

The Dubai Centre for Family Businesses (DCFB), operating under the Dubai Chambers, has announced the launch of the Dubai Centre for Family Businesses E-library. Developed in collaboration with the Family Enterprise Foundation (FEF), this new online portal aims to support the sustainable success of Dubai’s family business ecosystem by providing convenient access to an extensive collection of information and resources.

The E-library features almost 2,000 resources, including videos, webinars, articles, podcasts, interactive activities, research reports, and infographics. It also offers key regional information and a selection of blended learning programs specifically designed for family enterprises. This initiative follows the signing of an agreement with the Family Enterprise Foundation, which focuses on educational resources and research to support the sustainability of family enterprises. The collaboration allows the Dubai Centre for Family Businesses to leverage the foundation’s extensive resources to benefit Dubai's family business community.

Officially launched under the Dubai Chambers in May 2023, the Dubai Centre for Family Businesses is dedicated to ensuring the growth and sustainability of family businesses in Dubai. Family-owned businesses are significant contributors to Dubai’s non-oil GDP and employ a substantial portion of the emirate’s workforce. The centre is committed to enhancing the competitiveness of family businesses, protecting their interests, and empowering current and future leaders to drive sustainable success.

Since its establishment, the centre has launched several programs to boost the global competitiveness of local family businesses. These include the Dubai Family Businesses Leadership Programme, developed in partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development; the Next Generation Training Programme; the Governance Series; and the Advisors’ Certification Programme. These initiatives aim to prepare new leaders, educate family members on vital issues, and foster the growth and success of family businesses.

Additionally, the centre has issued comprehensive toolkits to support family-owned enterprises in designing and developing governance frameworks. These toolkits assist companies in ensuring a smooth succession process and securing the continuity of family businesses.
