For discussing about the agribusiness and food security in UAE a business mission was conducted by Brazilian contingent

The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) joined a Brazilian contingent driven by Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply H.E. Tereza Cristina Crrea da Costa Dias in an extraordinary business mission to four nations Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and UAE, to discuss agribusiness prospects or openings and nourishment security with key Arab authorities.

The business mission contained agents from 30 Brazilian agribusiness industry organizations and associations --including delegates from ABCC; the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA); the Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA); the Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association (UNICA); and the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). The Ministrys professionals were also part of the official delegation.

JBS; Masterboi; Granja Faria; Kit Internacional Trader; CDI Halal; Minerva Foods; Marfrig; BR Foods; Seara do Brasil; Fambras; Bello Alimentos Ltda are the private firms that entered into the mission.
The workshop was held at the Dubai International Chamber in cooperation with Brazil's Embassy in Abu Dhabi, and included bilateral meetings of Arab leaders and officials, as well as the ABCC arranged Brazilian Agribusiness Seminar.

ABCC President, Rubens Hannun said: "The mission was intended to open the doors to the growing Arab markets, particularly the United Arab Emirates, to numerous Brazilian commodities including beef, poultry, sugar, Maize and coffee. The mission is in line with the objective of the government of Brazil to enhance its Arab world exports and to strengthen its investment links with Arab firms. The visit of high profile also demonstrated the importance Brazil placed on key Arab markets by its major partners. We trust that the meetings with top officials will produce fruitful outcomes, in particular by strengthening linkages between stakeholders and interested parties.

The mission demonstrated to be both opportune and vital as it came at a time when Brazils exchange connection with the UAE is developing. From January to August 2019, Brazilian fares to the UAE reached USD 1,534.18 million at 1825.90 thousand tons, while its imports from the Emirates remained at USD 380.35 million at 680.73 thousand tons. During the similar period, fares of Brazilian chicken meat and bovine meat to the UAE came to USD 399.51 million at 239.58 thousand tons and USD 215.09 million at 59.60 thousand tons, respectively. The Brazilian exchange balance with the UAE during the period added up to USD 1,153.83 million at 1,145.17 thousand tons.
