DFSA Launches 2025 Graduate Programme to Nurture UAE National Financial Leaders
The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the independent regulator of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), has officially launched its 2025 Graduate Programme, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to nurturing and empowering the next generation of UAE National professionals in the financial services and regulatory sectors.
Now in its 19th year, the DFSA Graduate Programme is a flagship talent development initiative designed to equip young Emiratis with the practical skills, technical knowledge, and global perspectives necessary to thrive in the financial sector. Since its inception in 2006, the programme has supported 57 UAE National graduates, many of whom have progressed to occupy leadership positions within the financial industry and government institutions.
Fadel Al Ali, Chairman of the DFSA, remarked:
“Empowering and investing in young UAE National talent is a priority for the DFSA. Our Graduate Programme is more than a training initiative – it is a platform to prepare the next generation of financial services professionals who will ensure that the UAE’s financial sector remains innovative, resilient, and globally competitive.”
The two-year programme, set to commence in September 2025, offers selected participants hands-on experience through structured rotations across key DFSA departments. Graduates will benefit from mentorship, coaching, and the opportunity to earn industry-specific professional qualifications. This immersive environment fosters the development of leadership, regulatory, and technical competencies critical for career success in a globally interconnected financial ecosystem.
Aisha Emara, a successful alumna of the programme and now Senior Manager of Markets, Strategy & Risk at DFSA, shared:
“The DFSA Graduate Programme offers a comprehensive pathway from academia to the workplace. It provides an exceptional platform to gain industry insight and develop a professional network by learning from globally experienced regulators.”
Applications for the 2025 cohort are now open and will close on 30 June 2025. Eligible UAE Nationals who are recent graduates or final-year students are encouraged to apply via the DFSA website. The selection process includes interviews and aptitude assessments, and successful candidates will begin their journey in September.
By investing in early-career development, the DFSA continues to build a pipeline of competent and future-ready professionals poised to influence the financial landscape of the UAE and contribute to its sustainable economic growth, innovation, and diversification.
