DEWA signs MoU with SAP

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SAP, while at the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE) 2016, from 11-13 April 2016 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. The MoU supports DEWA's efforts to improve its services to the highest levels of availability, reliability and effectiveness.

The MoU was signed by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, and Steve Tzikakis, Senior Vice President and General Manager for South Europe, Middle East and Africa at SAP. DEWA's Vice Presidents, staff, and the media were also present.

The MoU improves cooperation in innovation, the facilities for smart meters, electric car charging stations, the Internet of Things (IoT), smart home applications, and Big Data analysis. The two sides will also exchange knowledge and expertise.

"The MoU equates the strategic partnership between DEWA and SAP, and underlines DEWA's dedication to cooperating with local and worldwide organisations to embrace finest practices in government work.
