DEWA arranges Football Competition for 12 Teams

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has organised, in cooperation with Dubai Sports Council, a football competition, which its staff participated in. This supports the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to arrange the annual UAE National Sports Day, and participate in the UAE National Sports Day arranged under the theme 'Emirates Brings Us Together.'.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, honoured the team that came first as part of DEWA's celebrations of the UAE 44th National Day.

"In line with the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to organise the annual UAE National Sports Day, and in line with His Highness's efforts to make Dubai the happiest city worldwide, where all residents and residents have health and well-being, we enjoy to take part in this nationwide activity that improves the forgiveness and cooperation between the individuals and improve the love and harmony values in the neighborhood through the sports language that everyone from different cultures and languages comprehends," stated HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer.

The Football Competition was held at Al Wasl Sports Club and experienced significant participation by DEWA's staff members distributed in 12 groups. A seasoned jury monitored the competition and the arranging committee verified that the play grounds met international health and safety standards.
