DEWA announces winners of online payment campaign organized in cooperation with Emirates NBD

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced the winners of the online payment campaign organized by DEWA in cooperation with Emirates NBD from June 1 to August 31, 2013.

The campaign was a remarkable success, and was aimed at customers who use Emirates NBD Debit cards to pay their electricity and water bills online through DEWAs mobile (mPay) service provided in cooperation with Dubais e-Government and DEWAs electronic payment (ePay) service via DEWAs website and the Auto-Payment feature.

The campaign was aimed at promoting the importance of the smart transformation which DEWA is keen to achieve through its partnerships with different government entities and institutions. It comes also as part of DEWAs efforts to encourage customers to adopt its smart services and use them extensively. Twelve smart awards were presented to the lucky winners who used Emirates NBD Debit Cards.

Following the remarkable success, DEWA, along with Emirates NBD, is resuming the campaign from January March 2014. Customers, who have completed their transactions in full using (ePay), (mPay) services, or who activates the (Auto-payment) features, using their Emirates NBD credit and Debit Cards, will be eligible for the draw.

DEWA strives to encourage its customers to embrace the smart services by simplifying the procedures, either by offering creative new initiatives, or introducing state-of-the-art technologies that are part of DEWAs strategy to offer the highest levels of excellence in serving customers. DEWA is also committed to ensure that its services are highly secure so customers can complete their transactions confidently and hassle-free. Besides, DEWA seeks to raise awareness of the importance of using these technologies to save the time of both the customers and DEWA as well as to achieve customer delight said Moza Al Akraf, DEWAs VP and Acting CIO.

Emirates NBD constantly seeks to partner with like-minded institutions to provide customers with 24x7, speedy and secure access to financial services, said Saif Al Mansoori, Deputy Head of Group Marketing & Branding, Emirates NBD.

We are pleased to build on last years successful partnership with DEWA, which witnessed a significant increase in Debit Card transactions for utility payments, as customers took advantage of the convenience of online payments and a secure payment gateway. We are confident that the 2014 campaign will continue to offer customers an enhanced and rewarding banking experience, he added.

The awards were delivered to the 12 winners by Humaid Buhumaid, Manager-eAdoption at DEWA; and Kavitha Kishore, AVP & Product Head Debit Cards, Retail Cards Business at Emirates NBD.

It is also worth noting that DEWA provides all of its services through its revamped application that supports Apple iOS and Google Android operating systems, in addition to offering its services through the website (www.DEWA.gov.ae), and through its other smart applications that support all operating systems such as, Blackberry OS, Windows 8, Windows phone, and Samsung home entertainment OS. Furthermore, DEWA also provides its services through its customer service centers, ENOC/EPPCO, EMPOST, and Etisalat payment machines.
