Celebrates the Graduation of the First Batch of the Dubai Customs Educational Graduation Program

Mr. Butti Abdullah Al Jumairi Executive Director, Human Resources, Administrative and Financial Affairs witnessed a graduation ceremony for the first batch of graduates for the Dubai Customs Graduate Program, a program available for nationals to enrol in universities and attain higher degrees of study. On this occasion Mr. Butti expressed his joy and pride for the graduates achievements and the programs impressive results since its launch in 2012. He stressed the importance of developing nationals and its role in achieving global competitiveness and overall meeting the strategic objectives of Dubai Customs.

Mr. Butti Al Jumairi honoured the graduates with Certificates of Appreciation, the first batch of graduates are Mr. Saeed Khalil Al Bannai Manager, Payments Section, who earned a Masters of Financial Management from the Canadian University in Dubai with honors, and Mr. Mohammed Butti Balaouhh Senior Development Officer, he attained a Masters of Business Administration from the Canadian University in Dubai.

It is worth mentioning that since the start of the program four employees successfully received an academic grant for the academic year 2012-2013 and nine employees for the year 2013-2014 to enroll in a bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs in various disciplines such as law, engineering management, financial management, business administration and information technology based on terms that have been developed according local and international education standards to develop the human cadres at Dubai Customs.

Furthermore, Dubai Customs works with a number of prestigious educational institutes across the UAE which are American University of Sharjah, Emirates University, Zayed University, Khalifa University of Science, Higher Institute of Technology, Sharjah University, Dubai University, Canadian University, Wollongong University, The Police Academy, Hamadan bin Mohamad E-University, Ajman University, Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, American University in Dubai, and lastly The British University.
For the year 2012-2013 a total of 10 employees signed up for the program in which four enrolled in bachelors programs, and four in masters programs, and the remaining two employees were part of the graduating batch this year, both attained their masters degrees from the Canadian University of Dubai.
For the year 2013-2014, a number of seven employees applied for the program, 3 for the bachelors, 3 for the masters and one for the doctoral program.
