Carlson Rezidor announces the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ajman City; United Arab Emirates

Carlson Rezidor, one of the largest and most dynamic hotel groups worldwide, adds a new emirate to its portfolio and arrives in Ajman: The Radisson Blu Hotel, Ajman City featuring 156 rooms is scheduled to welcome its first guests in Q1 2016.
Ajman is an emerging destination for both business and leisure travellers offering exceptional hospitality while retaining its traditional heritage, said Wolfgang M. Neumann, President & CEO at Rezidor. This signing further strengthens our growing portfolio in the United Arab Emirates, making it our fifth emirate and one of our most important focus markets.

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Ajman City will enjoy a prime location within the city of Ajman, just walking distance from the Ajman City Centre Mall. Ajmans proximity to Sharjah and Dubai provides easy accessibility to two international airports and four ports. The Radisson Blu Hotel, Ajman City will include 156 guestrooms with signature services such as free high speed internet access, a 270m all-day dining restaurant, two speciality restaurants, a lobby caf as well as a roof bar, a pool bar and a conference space of 1,300m. In addition to the wide-ranging food and drink offering, the hotel will benefit from extensive entertainment facilities adjacent to the site.

We are delighted to be entering into a partnership with Carlson Rezidor whose vast experience and international expertise, as well as their growth in the UAE, will ensure the success of this new project. The signing of the new property in Ajman is the beginning of a solid relationship and we look forward to the opening, said Cheruvathur Chakutty Thampi, owner of West Wood Hotels by Holiday Group.

Ajman is the smallest of the seven emirates and located along the Arabian Gulf Coast on an area of 260 square kilometres. It is becoming an important secondary market thanks to the expansion of the nearby cities of Dubai and Sharjah. Development of an international airport, various mixed-use development projects, expansion of a trade free zone, and construction of branded beach resorts and other leisure developments are gradually positioning Ajman as a prime hub for hospitality and tourism in the region.
