Cards and Payments Middle East, the regions premium event for payment cards and ID, opens its doors today (May 13, 2014) at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The 15th edition of the event is expected to be officially inaugurated by Dr. Ali Al Khouri, Director General, Emirates Identity Authority and H.E. Saeed Rashid Alyateem, Assistant Undersecretary for Budget and Revenue, UAE Ministry of Finance.

This year the regions largest smart card and payments event, is expected to feature over 200 exhibitors from across the region and the world to showcase the latest in cards and payments technology and solutions.

The event is also expected to be the launch pad for a range of innovative products including voice biometric solutions, by Uniphore Software Systems, NFC-enabled Oyster card by Austria Card, fingerprint scanner with digital signature integration by Dermalog, Business continuity platforms from Perpetuuiti Technosoft PTE, signature pad from Wacom, immediate payments solution from VocaLink, Omni-channel E-bank Platform from Halcom, multiplatform software application for POS-terminals from Transaction Systems, PIN protection solutions by Schreiner, anti-skimming technology from Diebold, transaction security solutions from Datacard Group, in addition to an interactive in-store and on-line mobile purchasing journey by Gemalto.
