Canon hosts hands-on photography workshops with the new EOS R system at Gulf Photo Plus 2019

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 13 February 2019: Encouraging photography talent in the region, Canon Middle East held interactive workshops for photography enthusiasts at the Gulf Photo Plus 2019 exhibition with renowned professional photographers Tasneem Al Sultan and Clinton Lubbe. The workshop introduced attendees to the companys latest imaging technology, the EOS R System, and presented insights into developing creative and technical capabilities.

At this years Gulf Photo Plus, Canon engaged attendees with a hands-on approach to storytelling. In addition to the workshops, visitors got a chance to use the EOS R system and fully experience the optical excellence and creative freedom it offers.

Canon ambassador Tasneem Al Sultan, renowned wedding and documentary photographer, shared her insight on creating dramatic wedding and lifestyle images with the new Canon EOS-R for a Spotlight Talk held at the event. The experienced photographer provided attendees with tips and tricks to enhance their skills in this area while also sharing her experience with the lighter mirrorless system.

Award-winning professional photographer and Canon evangelist Clinton Lubbe, also joined the event to host a hands-on session for aspiring photographers looking to learn how to create compelling fashion and lifestyle portraits. Attendees were provided with the new EOS-R mirrorless camera and a lens system for the duration of the session where Clinton discussed the importance of light, composition, lens choice and how to identify strong backgrounds to create eye-catching portraits. The Dynamic Fashion Portrait Photo Walk gave photographers a boost of confidence by being able to put into practice what they learnt, on the spot.

The EOS R is Canons first 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor mirrorless camera that features an electronic viewfinder. Equipped with various other pioneering features like advanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF, Digic 8 imaging processor, high density AF points positions, multi-function slider bar, flexible AE Mode, and high speed data communication RF mount, it sets the standard for the smaller, lighter full-frame camera of tomorrow and produces image quality never seen before.

For the duration of the exhibition, visitors were also treated to a showcase of Canons range of cameras, lenses, photo printers and accessories with the opportunity to avail special offers at the Canon e-store.
