Bangladeshi delegation visits Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and reviews Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030
HE Ahmed Buti Al Muhairbi, Secretary General of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, received at the Councils headquarters, a delegation from the People's Republic of Bangladesh, headed by HE Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury, Additional Secretary, Finance Division, Ministry of Finance. The meeting was attended by Nasser Al Shaiba, Director of Environment, Health, and Safety, Omar Al Qurashi, Senior Manager of Corporate Communications and General Services at the Supreme Council of Energy, and Jamal Alhammadi, Vice President of Special Projects at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
The delegation was briefed on the Supreme Council of Energys work, the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030, the Demand Side Management Strategy, and future development projects in Dubai. The Council gave an overview of Dubais achievements by implementing best practices in the partnership projects between the public and private sectors in renewable and clean energy. This has significantly contributed to achieving competitive low prices in the local market.
The visitors also reviewed energy and environmental conservation campaigns, and the Councils plans to establish Dubai as a role model for energy efficiency.
At the end of the meeting, HE Chowdhury thanked the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy for the warm reception. The two sides exchanged gifts.
