Azizi Developments crowns winners of Dubai World Cup Carnival

As part of its durable partnership with Meydan, Azizi Developments, a leading private developer in the UAE, sponsored the Dubai World Cup Carnival for the third year running via six races named after its prestigious projects, specifically Riviera 1, Mina, Creek Views, Aliyah, Al Furjan, and Riviera 2.

At the Dubai World Cup Carnival Race Meet, which was hosted on the 16th of January 2020, Mr Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developmentns, Mr Farhad Azizi, CEO of Azizi Developments, and other senior executives from the company, awarded the connections of the triumphing horses.

The winners of the six Dubai World Cup Carnival races sponsored by Azizi are:

Race - 1st Place
Riviera 1 - Ben Curtis, riding Certain Lad
Mina - Patrick Dobbs, riding Midnight Sands
Creek Views - James Doyle, ridingMagic Lily
Aliyah - Daniel Tudhope, riding Suedois
Al Furjan - Richard Mullen, riding Bochart
Riviera 2 - James Doyle, riding Roulston Scar

The Dubai World Cup Carnival, worth $12.74 million in prize cash throughout ten race meetings, runs yearly from January to March and is a season of high-class global race days, contested by the most high-profile owners, trainers, horses, and jockeys in the world. It runs alongside the domestic Racing at Meydan season and paves the way for the Dubai World Cup Day, the richest day of horse racing in the world.
