ALS expands its portfolio of services in Middle East

Germany-headquartered ALS Logistic Solutions, a multinational company specializing in the Material Handling, Storage Systems Automation and Air Cargo Handling System, has expanded its maintenance and consultancy division by providing Value Added Services (VAS) for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) which it offers to airlines, airports, handling agents and GSE manufacturers.

ALS has participated in the 14th Airport Show under the Germany Pavilion that featured 31 companies at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) from May 11 to 13.

Supporting GSE manufacturers globally and maintaining close communication with its customers, ALS will deliver comprehensive professional technical support and services that include warranty support, preventative maintenance of equipment as well as troubleshooting in order to reduce unexpected breakdowns. With its warehouse storage facilities in the region, ALS is able to provide quick and efficient replacement, repair and recovery across the network.

In addition to the existing Consultancy services, Airside Operations Consultancy is now in place, concentrating on areas such as; Improvement of Aircraft Turnaround, Airside Safety and Quality Standards, Baggage Delivery, Ramp Handling, Training Standards, Emergency Procedures and GSE Fleet.
The company commenced its operations in the Middle East in 1998 and established its regional office in Dubai in 2001. The company has several aviation projects under its wings including the design and installation of Freight Gate 5 at dnata’s cargo terminal.

It was also awarded the contract to design and development of Freight Gate 8 automation of dnata/Emirates in Dubai World Central (DWC). ALS is also involved with the transformation of the warehouse to a Fully Automated Unit Load Device (ULD) Storage System as well as implementing an entirely new IT and Warehouse Management System with state of the art airside and landside docks.
ALS last year completed full automation of high-bay warehouse and special storage terminal for the Dubai Duty Free (DDF).
