AIQ Enters Indonesia Through Strategic Agreement With SKK Migas
AIQ, the Abu Dhabi-based artificial intelligence (AI) company specializing in transforming the energy sector, has entered a strategic agreement with the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities of the Republic of Indonesia (SKK Migas). The partnership marks AIQ’s official entry into the Indonesian market and aims to enhance the country’s upstream energy operations through advanced AI-driven technologies.
Under the agreement, AIQ will deploy the Reservoir Performance Advisor (RPA) module from its Advanced Reservoir 360 (AR360) intelligent reservoir management solution across SKK Migas’ upstream operations.
Enhancing Efficiency Through AI-Driven Reservoir Management
The AR360 platform is a predictive and automated assessment tool that delivers up to 75% efficiency gains in reservoir model reviews. It enables asset teams to access comprehensive reservoir data through an intuitive cloud-based dashboard, empowering geoscientists and engineers with real-time insights.
The RPA module integrates machine learning and automation into existing workflows, allowing users to optimize production, extend field life, and improve recovery rates—critical goals for Indonesia’s mature oil and gas fields.
Strengthening Indonesia’s Energy Innovation
The agreement sets the stage for broader collaboration between AIQ and SKK Migas in the fields of AI integration, asset digitalization, and autonomous operations. These initiatives are expected to enhance operational resilience, boost efficiency, and accelerate Indonesia’s digital transformation in the upstream energy sector.
Dennis Jol, CEO of AIQ, stated:
“Indonesia’s upstream sector faces unique challenges, particularly in managing mature fields that require sophisticated reservoir optimization. This agreement supports SKK Migas’ goals to improve recovery and reduce operational costs through targeted AI applications. It also marks a major milestone in AIQ’s international growth strategy, bringing UAE-developed innovation to Indonesia’s energy landscape.”
Dr. Djoko Siswanto, Head of SKK Migas, commented:
“Our collaboration with AIQ reflects SKK Migas’ commitment to building a smarter, more resilient upstream sector. By leveraging advanced AI capabilities, we aim to enhance national energy security, drive operational excellence, and establish Indonesia as a regional leader in energy digitalization.”
Expanding AIQ’s Global Footprint
The partnership with SKK Migas builds on AIQ’s expanding international presence, following similar agreements in Kazakhstan and Colombia, where its AI solutions are being deployed to optimize operations and accelerate digital transformation across national energy sectors.
As AIQ continues to grow globally, the company remains focused on providing AI-native, sector-agnostic, and outcome-driven solutions that address the practical needs of the energy industry. This latest partnership underscores the rising global demand for AI-powered technologies that drive measurable value and operational resilience.
