90 more candidates enter the contest on last day of nominations for Federal National Council Elections

As many as 90 nominations, including 26 from women, were received by the National Election Committee today on fifth and last day of candidate registration process for the Federal National Council Elections 2015.

The number of applications received in each emirate on the fifth day is as follows:

According to the timetable for the Federal National Council Elections 2015, the National Election Committee will declare the preliminary list of candidates on August 23, and the final list on August 31. The candidates can request withdrawal of their nomination not later than September 14.

NEC has urged citizens to ensure that their names are in the Electoral College list by visiting the website of the Committee www.uaenec.ae or by contacting NEC call centre 600500005.
