Emirates has announced that passengers can no longer use or charge power banks during flights. Each passenger may carry one power bank up to 100 watt-hours, which must remain in cabin baggage—stowed under the seat or in the seat pocket; overhead lockers are prohibited. Power banks cannot be placed in checked luggage. The update follows a safety review, as damaged or overcharged batteries can pose risks.
