What are Dubai’s gold prices as Navratri begins, and how is the festive season influencing demand?
Gold prices remained steady in Dubai on Monday, with 24K gold trading at Dh505.50 per gram, while 22K stood at Dh468, 21K at Dh448.75 and 18K at Dh384.75. The more affordable 14K variant was priced at Dh300 per gram. The stability comes as Navratri, a nine-day Indian festival considered auspicious for buying gold, gets underway, encouraging families to purchase jewellery, coins and bars as symbols of prosperity and good fortune. Meanwhile, international spot gold slipped 0.16 per cent to $4,188 an ounce, while silver fell 0.14 per cent to $223.55. With festive buying picking up, shoppers will be watching closely to see whether gold prices remain stable or move higher.
