Through a “Tip Matching” campaign by Careem, customers across the UAE supported delivery riders, drivers, and taxi captains by tipping during their rides and orders—while Careem matched each tip of Dh10 or more at no extra cost. This collective effort resulted in nearly Dh6 million being raised, benefiting over 31,000 captains across services like food delivery, ride-hailing, and Hala taxis. With more than 160,000 tips matched during the campaign, the initiative highlighted strong community participation and provided meaningful financial support to frontline workers during the holy month of Ramadan.
