Renowned ballerina Svetlana Zakharova will return to the stage at Dubai Opera on March 8 for a special two-part ballet performance, accompanied by a distinguished cast of dancers from the Bolshoi Theatre.

Zakharova, a principal dancer with Moscow’s Bolshoi Ballet and Milan’s La Scala, is widely regarded as one of the most celebrated figures in contemporary ballet. Her Dubai appearance is expected to draw ballet enthusiasts and cultural audiences from across the UAE.

Two-Part Programme

The evening will open with Come Un Respiro (Like a Breath), a work created especially for Zakharova by Italian choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti. The piece is set to music by Baroque composer George Frideric Handel and features exclusive costume designs by Helena de Medeiros.

The second act, Ballet Gabrielle Chanel, pays tribute to fashion icon Coco Chanel. The production includes 80 costumes designed by Virginie Viard, artistic director of Chanel, blending classical ballet with high fashion.
