Choir Connect: Words Meet Harmonies
The Fridge Warehouse in Alserkal Avenue will host an intimate evening of song and poetry next Friday as Choir Connect: “Words Meet Harmonies” takes the stage at 8 pm. Highlighting the UAE’s Year of Community, the concert weaves stories of identity, belonging, and shared home through rich choral textures and evocative verse. Three ensembles—Koro Ducere led by Jeffrey Buensuceso, Angels Singing Choir under Yuliana Kireyeva, and a combined chorus directed by Choir Master Arne Lubasan—promise a tapestry of vocal colour ranging from classical favourites to contemporary arrangements. Dubai‑based spoken‑word artist Danabelle Gutierrez will premiere original poems between sets, accompanied at the piano by Maysel Joy Adap, creating seamless dialogue between harmony and narrative. Doors open at 7:30 pm, inviting audiences to settle in early for a night that celebrates community spirit and the power of collective artistry.
