ARENA Open Water Swim: Race 1

Swimmers across the UAE are gearing up for an exhilarating morning as the ARENA Swim event returns on 18 October, as part of the GRIT+TONIC.com Sports Festival. Set against the scenic backdrop of Mamzar Beach Park, participants will dive into calm, crystal-clear waters for an unforgettable open-water experience.

The event offers a range of distances to suit all ages and skill levels — from 200m and 400m sprints to 800m, The Mile (1.6km), 2.5km, and 5km challenges. Those participating in shorter races (1,600m and under) can compete in multiple categories, adding to the excitement and competitiveness of the day.

Beyond the races, the festival promises an electric atmosphere with energizing music on shore and professional lifeguards ensuring safety throughout the event. Whether you're a seasoned swimmer or just diving in for fun, ARENA Swim welcomes everyone to be part of the celebration of endurance, fitness, and community spirit.

After the races, participants and spectators can unwind and explore Mamzar Beach Park’s vibrant surroundings — featuring five picturesque beaches, shaded BBQ areas, family-friendly picnic zones, swimming pools, and even a skate park, making it the perfect day out for the whole family.

The ARENA Swim at the GRIT+TONIC.com Sports Festival offers not just a test of stamina but also a chance to embrace the outdoor lifestyle that defines Dubai’s sports culture.
