This year Diwali in Dubai is all about wooing and wowing crowds. Signing off on an exciting ten days of grand scale Diwali festivities, Al Seef has planned two Guinness World Record attempts in honour of the festival of lights.
One Guinness World Record attempt involves lighting up LED lights in a relay while the other–taking place at 5pm–invites the residents of Dubai to break an existing world record by lighting 1,000 tea lights in a single line relay format. Following the momentous occasion, the tea lights will be organised to write “Diwali in Dubai” commemorating the Diwali celebrations in the city. The line up will begin at Al Seef Dhow Deck near Belgium Waffles and stretch until the Museum of Illusions.
Bring along the whole family to be a part of a historical moment that will only add to Al Seef’s heritage-rich atmosphere while catching the tail end of the Al Seef Diwali Market, Diya (candle) lighting ceremony and the remaining line up of the live performances.
