UAEs Initiatives Encourage Youth to Play a Part in Their Countrys Development: H.E. Noura Al Kaabi Addresses UNESCO NGO Forum 2017 in Riyadh

"The UAE's initiatives motivate young people to play a part in their country's development and the development of the entire region," noted Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, UAE Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, as she attended to the UNESCO NGO Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, today (Wednesday, May 3, 2017).

Taking part in a panel discussion titled "Setting the Scene: Youth Engagement and its Potential for Social Change, H.E. Al Kaabi went on to advise that the UAE Government has, considering that the nation was founded, been placing its young generations at the heart of all its policies. H.E. mentioned the Khalifa Fund as an example - the fund was released by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to assist create local enterprises.

Additional specifying on these youth-centric initiatives, H.E. talked about the Emirates Young people Council, which was inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. H.E. Al Kaabi contacted the UN to adopt and expand the UAE's Youth Cirlces campaign on a global scale, therefore providing an opportunity for dialogue for youngsters all over the world, where they can share their passions and desires for the future, and tackle the subjects that are of the majority of issue to them.

" To invest the future, we must not limit our thinking to tall structures and megaprojects. We must, rather, invest in the youth. Buying young citizens is a smart insurance policy for a much better, brighter tomorrow," H.E. insisted. "The young people are not only the leaders of the future; they are the ones who will certainly develop that future. Governments have to put down the loudspeaker and begin a conversation; [we] should connect to young citizens; we can not wait on them to come to us. We should reach them on their terms, where they feel most comfy, and take on the subjects that matter most to them."

" Besides educating young people and preparing them for their future professions,
governments must additionally attract them to take campaign and job not only for the financial returns, but also for the large worth of it," H.E. Noura Al Kaabi included, suggesting that federal governments develop volunteer programmes that help them use the energy and interest of their young people, all the while permitting the young volunteers to get important experience that shapes their personality and moulds them into industrious, resourceful, and altruistic citizens.
