UAE Water Aid Foundation board of trustees hold 7th meeting

The UAE Water Aid Foundation (Suqia)'s board of trustees held its 7th meeting at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)'s head office. Suqia is one of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. The meeting was chaired by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the board of trustees of Suqia, and gone to by HE Humaid Rashid Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary General of the Emirates Red Crescent for international aid and Vice Chairman of the Board at Suqia, HE Dr Mohammed Abdullah Al Baili, Deputy Vice Chairman for Academic Affairs and Provost of United Arab Emirates University, HE Dr Arif Al Hammadi, Executive Vice President of Khalifa University, Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Strategy & Business Development at DEWA, Mohammed Abdulkareem Al Shamsi, Acting Executive Director of Suqia, and Fahad Abdullah bin Afira Al Falasi, Acting Secretary of the board of trustees of Suqia.

Al Tayer welcomed the attendees, and stressed the significance of increasing efforts during the Holy Month of Ramadan, to supply meals and water for people in need. Al Tayer kept in mind that the UAE is the capital of good deeds and humanitarian efforts, and applauded the UAE people on their generosity and efforts to contribute.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum once stated:

" During the meeting, we went over a variety of campaigns to promote the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Water Award, introduced by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and worth USD 1 million. We continually study the most recent developments and updates in regard to the award, with the goal of promoting it at worldwide events.
