Smart Dubai Participates in ESRI User Conference, ESRI Senior Executive Summit 2017

A delegation from the Smart Dubai Office (SDO) visited San Diego, The golden state, to take part in the ESRI User Meeting and the ESRI Senior Executive Summit, on July 9 and 10, 2017. Organised by the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), both events are leaders in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and their applications.

SDO Director General, Her Excellency Dr Aisha Bint Butti Bin Bishr, headed the delegation and opened up the ESRI Senior Executive Summit. Dr Aisha offered a thorough paper specificing the strategies and visions of the Smart Dubai Office, and disclosing the Office's path-breaking success in implementing the most up to date innovation to serve the community in Dubai, as guided by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai.

" We are thrilled to be joining the ESRI User Conference and the ESRI Senior Executive Summit today," stated H.E. Dr Aisha; "such celebrations offer fertile ground for innovative technologies and GIS innovations. The two events are perfect for us to network and to build solid business and tactical collaborations with world-leading organisations operating in this area. They use us a chance to exchange know-how and examine exactly what various other smart cities are doing to advance our own Smart Dubai Vision 2021."

During a panel conversation with ESRI's Chief Executive Officer Jack Dangermond, H.E. Dr Aisha shed light on Dubai's successful GIS-based application, the 'Dubai Pulse' platform, which functions as the backbone of the emirate's change to smart technology. Dubai Pulse plays an essential role in integrating data, sustaining decision-making, and promoting the exchange of open and shared data between the general public and private sectors, along with people.

The SDO Director General went on to go over the Dubai Blockchain Strategy, which aims to perform 100% of government purchases in Dubai using paperless Blockchain innovation by 2020. The technique, in addition, promotes Blockchain to exclusive entities and works to change Dubai right into a global center for Blockchain modern technology.

" We have noticed remarkable rate of interest in Dubai's - and the UAE's - smart transformation experience. Cities and districts around the world are bearing in mind of our significant contributions to the global smart-city motion and our success in carrying out sophisticated geomagnetic technologies to supply the best-in- class solutions to the public," Dr Aisha kept in mind.

The ESRI User Conference attracted almost 16,000 visitors and GIS professionals from around the world. The Conference places the limelight on GIS innovation, positioning it as the most vital tactical business sources as it offers accurate information that enables policymakers to set sound approaches, in addition to enhancing the quality of solutions utilizing interactive maps.
