Renowned Educators Addressed Parents and Students at GEMS Nations Academy

GEMS Nations Academy recently hosted notable leaders in education - Arne Duncan, Former US Secretary of Education and Managing Partner, Emerson Collective; Graham Brown-Martin writer of Learning imagined, Founder of Understanding Without Frontiers (LWF); and Geoffrey Canada, President, Harlem Children's Zone and Guarantee Academy Boards.

Addressing students, parents and teachers, the leaders discussed the importance of inspiring the future generation of pioneers, entrepreneurs and leaders as part of an ongoing collection of motivational sessions for the GEMS fraternity. Subjects such as the need for flexible training that focuses on abilities and different learning designs, and real life readiness were discussed in the two hr session at GEMS Nations Academy.

Speaking about the session Mick Gernon, Senior Vice President - Global Head of Innovation, R & d said, "Uniting very dynamic thought-leaders to review the future of education with our parents, teachers and school leaders, offered a truly engaging understanding into just how we should prepare our young people for the future. Knowing needs to be relevant and connected to the real-world - we need to completely accept online and artificial intelligence technologies and expose our trainees to ensure that they create a deeper understanding of the world around them and that of the future.

Education will have to be re-imagined and give students with the essential skills, abilities and fluencies that will certainly enable them to favorably influence and shape their areas.
