Red Team puts final touches on TM App before September launch

As part of the City Makers initiative announced by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, the Red Team organised a workshop for contractors, consultants, and real estate developers in Dubai, to put the finishing touches on its TM App before its official launch next month.

The workshop was organised following the soft launch of TM by the Red Team earlier this month. It discussed possible enhancements to the new app across design and technical sides, and sought new ideas for the next phases of the initiative to be launched by the Red Team later this year.
TM is designed and developed by the Red Team members consisting of four entities: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Municipality and Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment.

In its first stage, the TM App aims to provide necessary information for property, real estate, and housing project owners. In addition to the status of government approvals, and NOC; thus contributing to the overall development of the property sector in the Emirate.

The app will also enhance transparency in interactions between customers and the concerned entity, thus increasing efficiency and raising the level of happiness of all customers. This in turn supports the Red Teams endeavours in providing new innovative governmental services, and thereby, achieving the vision of Dubai Government.

The initiative also supports the goals of Smart Dubai launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which aims to make Dubai the smartest city in the world in three years.
Salah Al Amiri, Assistant Director-General of Dubai Municipality, and member of the Red Team, inaugurated the activities of the workshop. He emphasised that the Red Team ensures cooperation with all partners and stakeholders, and realises the importance of continuous exchange of ideas and obtaining feedback to achieve the best and final form of the TM App.

The Red Team believes that success is a journey that cannot be achieved alone. The way towards wining the City Makers award is only through collaboration and cooperation, said Salah Al Amiri.

We were keen to organise the workshop and meet the contractors, consultants and real estate owners, to exchange ideas and suggestions about our new initiative. This is important to achieve the best form of TM App, before its official launch next month. As a result, we obtained important findings that can serve as a resource for the Red Team to improve the app in the best way, including its design and functionalities said Abdullah Al Hajiri, Executive Vice-President, Customer Service at DEWA, and Head of the Red Team.

Since the first day of the inception of the Red Team, we had outlined a clear strategy that takes into consideration our customers, partners, and stakeholders. This serves as strong platform for us to launch creative initiatives and innovative services that will benefit the society. This is a translation of the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which we have adopted to enhance cooperation and joint work between the government and private sectors to support the development of Dubai and the UAE, and to increase the countrys competitiveness across all fields, he added.

TM app will be an added value to the list of services provided by the Dubai Government. The app enhances the level of infrastructure development in Dubai considerably as it will help contractors, consultants and property owners to accomplish their work to high professional standards and in a very short time, said Moza Al Akraf, CIO of Information Technology at DEWA, and President of the TM initiative.

We are confident that our initiative will be received positively by the construction and the infrastructure development companies in Dubai as well as by real estate developers and property owners. The idea, design, and features of TM App enables people to have access to databases of four different government entities at the same time and allows them to accomplish transactions and view work progress and approval status in a few seconds. This gives the app a special place among the distinguished services provided by Dubai Government. Thus, we are confident that our chance to win the City Maker race is really big.

The TM app has been launched and developed by an in-house team formed by the Red Team. The technical team, headed by Eng. Yousif Al Khazraji from DEWA, consists of a number of experts and IT engineers from DEWA, RTA, Dubai Municipality and Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment.
TM initiative contributes to the Smart Transformation of Dubai Government, and supports achieving the goals of Dubai Plan 2021. The initiative will help decrease carbon dioxide emissions by limiting the need for people to travel to and from four different government entities, to follow-up on their projects status, and obtain government approvals and NOCs for construction permits, connections, and permits.
