National Media Council Signs MoU with Emirates Foundation for Youth Development to Support Volunteer Work

The National Media Council (NMC) has authorized an MoU with the Emirates Foundation for Youth Growth at the Structure's headquarters to introduce calculated initiatives that support and encourage volunteer job.

The agreement seeks to enhance participation in numerous fields to meet the demands of the Emirati community, and sustains efforts to spread the values of social responsibility and volunteer work as a key device for advancement in the UAE.

As part of the agreement, the Emirates Foundation for Young people Development will give a group of Emirati volunteers, with its volunteer programme Takatof, to invite and direct visitors at the UAE's Structure in Expo-2017, Astana. The volunteers will work in 2 shifts - one in the early morning and another in the afternoon. The Structure will also choose a manager to monitor the volunteers for the duration of the exhibition.

The National Media Council has initiated the interior decoration and installation procedure for the UAE Pavilion at Expo-2017, which is readied to be hosted in the capital of Kazakhstan; Astana, from June 10 till September 11 of this year, under the theme "Future Power". The Council and Emirates Structure agreed to propose and examine extra jobs and partnerships, and established clear goals and implementation schedules for every of them.
