Mohammed bin Rashid orders payment of AED33m bonus to taxi plate owners in Dubai

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, has bought the payment of a bonus amounting to AED33.28 million to Emirati citizens whose taxicab number plates are operated by the Dubai Taxi Corporation and Taxi Franchise Companies at the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA). The total number of the number plates is 6656. The quantity bought marks a 25 % increase from in 2014's bonus offer. The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) will begin distribution of the 2015 bonus to the entitled recipients, over and above their annual financial dues from this week.

HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA thanked HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for gratifying taxi plate owners, who are part of the fixed earnings group, and enabling them to better cope with the requirements of life and good living for them and their families.

"This bonus offer is one of several other charitable gestures we are accustomed to from H.H that are a real testament to the assistance accorded by HH to his people and the attention he pays to their social affairs and living conditions, particularly those with fixed incomes. It likewise illustrates the attention made to offer excellent living to all members of the community, and articulates the prevailing social uniformity principles amongst individuals," included Al Tayer.
