Ministry of Health and Prevention Holds Workshop on Development of National Health Nutrition Strategy

UAE, November 30, 2016 - The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has recently arranged a workshop themed 'Developing and Formulating a National Nourishment Strategy' in collaboration with the World Health and wellness Company. The workshop led by Dr. Hussein Abdel-Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary of MOHAP's Health and wellness Centers and Clinics, aims to boost nutrition among the different age groups in the UAE in accordance with the global nutrition policy.

Dr. Al Rand opened up the workshop in the presence of federal government health and wellness specialists on food and nutrition, various other health and wellness authorities, universities, colleges and municipalities. Abu Dhabi's Punitive and Correctional Facility along with the Juvenile Care Facility additionally took part in the program.

The Assistant Undersecretary highlighted the significance of developing a national approach for nourishment to establish a healthy food society and system among the population and create long-lasting solutions to health and wellness obstacles involving nutrition.
