Innovative technologies for a cleaner, more efficient future

In its 18th year, WETEX, showcases the latest developments in the fields of energy, environment and sustainability, and is organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

A frequent WETEX exhibitor, Cavotec will be demonstrating how its electrical power delivery and control, and automation technologies are transforming operations in the Ports & Maritime, Airports, Mining & Tunnelling, and General Industry sectors worldwide.

More locally, Cavotec has worked closely with DEWA on a large number of projects for many years, comprising the supply of cable management systems to DEWAs power plants and substations, as well as high amperage plugs and sockets for the authoritys 132kV and 400kV substations.

Cavotec power connectors are widely used for the industrial supply of electrical power. From gruelling mining applications in Scandinavia, to demanding tunnelling installations in Asia, Cavotecs power systems deliver critical support in the harshest of environments.

Cavotecs robust low and high voltage connectors incorporate standard IP 66 protection and a standard maximum temperature of 80C. Today, the high quality, strength and outstanding safety standards typical of Cavotec connectors have set industry standards for high and low voltage power supply to a wide variety of equipment.

We are delighted to have worked with DEWA for more than 20 years now a relationship based on trust and the pursuit of technological superiority to meet the operational challenges our customers face on a daily basis, Juergen Strommer, COO EMEA, explains.

Being at WETEX 2016 is one of the most effective ways for us to show the key players in the region how we are serving customers introduce the innovations they need to make their operations safer, cleaner, and more efficient. Furthermore, our presence at the show is indicative of our commitment to DEWA and the wider region, Strommer adds.

The show, which last year welcomed more than 23,000 visitors and 88 sponsors, wraps up on October 6.
