Gulf Bank and Al Sadu Society Present Series of Educational Workshops for Children

Gulf Bank is pleased to announce its exclusive sponsorship of a year-long collection of educational workshop in partnership with the Al Sadu Society, a distinguished Kuwaiti institution. Entitled 'Fun with Textiles', these workshops are designed for children to establish their abilities in crafts and textile art strategies. The following session will be held on Saturday, 22 April at Sadu House, adhered to by two more in May, and will certainly resume in September and run up until end of the year.

The workshops are free and open to children ages 6-12, although innovative registration is required. Each session is open to 12 attendees who will certainly learn and establish innovative skills in an unwinded and boosting environment, with the help of specialist multilingual trainers. We are devoted to documenting and promoting the rich and diverse textile heritage of Kuwaiti Bedouins, from the nomadic weaving of the desert to the urban weaving of the town. We are pleased to partner with Gulf Bank to deliver this year-long series of totally free children's fabrics workshops."

During these workshops, children are offered an assisted selection of shades, layouts and strategies, where they will have the ability to create their creative skills while having fun. Trainers will be present in each session to motivate children and educate them that crafts are a kind of art. Al Sadu Culture started in 1978, as a private effort, by a group of concerned Kuwaitis who wished to preserve a quick disappearing, yet intrinsic, cultural identity, the Al Sadu Project was founded. It intends to promote and to celebrate Kuwait's cultural and textile heritage.
